I am currently a Dish customer and plan to buy an antenna for my T600. It has an big old Datron/Transco CruiseTV antenna currently installed that I thinks is obsolete. I want a GOOD antenna that will give me a GOOD HD picture. Also would like an easy set-up and suggestions on where to purchase.
    All suggestions and help appreciated.

Dish Networks TR-40 CRA since you already have an HD antenna and a analog TV.

Gov gives you a(s) $40 coupon to buy the converter box.

Note: a TV antenna is a HD antenna = someone that has a digital tv and tv antenna would know this = I have assumed some thing to simplify my answer.

no your equipment will work fine. dish network will do all the converting for you it will be business as usual for you when the switch happens you will need a converter box to get regular channels after the switch (think old school cable box) and thats all you will need an antenna is an antenna if you have a good one now it will still be a good one after the switch

We use the VueQube. It works great. You just set it up when you stop using the hand held remote. One problem with Dish though is that they use 2 satellites.....and if you want to watch something on 110 and you have the dish tuned to 119....then you have to re-align the antenna. Therefore, we are swithching over the DirecTv....they only use 1 satellite for ALL stations....and we can watch local and cable once it's tuned in.

Who are you going through for your DirecTV Satelite and do you run an HD Ready TV? I'm just getting into the industry and will purchase a DirecTV system for my Wheels along with a small LCD or Plasma HDTV. I've been looking online which is probably why I can't find anything for Trucking. Other than your answer to my question I'll probably have to head the nearest Truck Stop, pickup a couple Mag's, and talk with Drivers.

    Thanks!!!!

With a TV Bilt in ATSC tuner or converter the only thing you need is a cheap UHF antena
that it, no more no less
If your truck as an bilt in antena in the sleeper it will do the trick
The bigest the antena only pickup station far away
I've got a 3X2 feet standart UHF antena and can reach 90 miles from my home
From Montréal i'm able to pick up burlington VT platsburg NY 14 US channel + 3 CA in clear weather
