Do you know that 73% of drivers that park it because of wind make less money?

Sorry, just couldn't resist low hanging fruit. -
I used to haul albertsons up there. We always came back empty. And we always hauled ### if the winds were high.
My brother in law and his dad. Both truckers taught me the faster you go. The more pull on the trailer. The faster you get through the wind gusts. VS taking it slow and easy making yourself vulnerable to being a wind target.
A couple of time the rig had to be parked though. For me those 2 times happened to be turkey and christmas. Making me late for the family parties.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Then again, you have a chance to be late to many more family parties.

I would "Park it" somewhere with windshield facing wind.Blowing over has nothing to do with how good a driver you are.Sure you may luck out, maybe not though.I seen 2 trucks blow over exiting into a i70 travel Plaza in Lawrence,KS.One was an owner op,flatnose pete, the other Scheider. They were only going about 25mph,when they laid it over,1 behind the other about 100 feet apart.
