TruckLogger software

    Has anybody used TruckLogger logbook software for their logs? For that matter, is there any other good software out there?

    I've got the newest trial version (2.35.19) on my laptop. I've played around with it a little, trying to get used to it. So far it's fairly straight forward. One thing I like about it, that the other software I've looked at doesn't have, is the ability to dynamically drag the lines around on the log. It makes it simple to make corrections, if needed.

    It has a LOT of options and settings which makes it simple to customize it to your needs.

    Great! I just wanted to know if it was as easy to use as Driver's Daily Log, which we currently have. The one MAJOR thing we don't like about DDL is the limitation on registrations. We have two computers in the truck, so being limited to three activations before having to buy the whole software again doesn't sit well with us. On top of this, the motherboard was replaced on one of our computers, thereby forcing us to use up one of the three activations you're allowed.

    From what I saw on their site for TruckLogger, it looks like you can put it on different computers without a problem. I also like that you can pay to backup copies on their server as well as syncrhonize between two computers!

    I like DDL, haven't tried Trucklogger yet. Eventually I am going to write my own, mostly because I want to be able to make custom log sheet printouts for it (DDL is prickly about creating these, and I couldn't figure out if Trucklogger can do that).

    I once Emailed the DDL people about making a version for OS X, they said they would rather do a version for phones first.

    There is a version of TruckLogger for OS X.

    Guess who is gonna get my money?

    I use DDL on my laptop and as far as replacing motherboards I have to do it quite regularly as well as HDD's and thus far after 6 reregistrations of same licience I have yet to be forced by DDL to use up another licience so I still have 3.
