As the title states, need (want) a fridge. Needs to be 12v and a small freezer would be nice. Just shoot stuff out there. If i can grab it at a truck stop all the better.

Is the 1500w inverter hard wired? I have a big inverter built into the truck. Runs a tv and an Xbox perfect and I could probably run a microwave at the same time lol

I'd like 12v becuase the inverter only runs when the apu is running.
So let me say what I'd like to keep cold and were go from there. I'd like basics like a small thing of milk, but mostly cold cuts and the occasional stake (I plan on getting a grill hence my last food related thread about propane bottles) but I'd also like to not have to go to a Wal-Mart daily for the stuff. So I need cold basicly

I keep reading "fridge" as "fudge"...

Anyways, Kilwins and Murdicks both out of Petoskey Mi are really good, the former ships all over the country.

Run in the Canadian prairies in the winter. Trailer boxes make for wonderful freezers.

I have an Igloo cooler, and it cools to 40 below ambient. So, if the truck cab gets cold overnight, I might have slushy milk. No big deal, just unplug it for 45 minutes or so the next day, and it gets back to a reasonable temp.
I typically carry milk, yogurt, cheese sticks, and several bottles of pop with me, and it's always nice and cold. I think I paid $99 at TA.

I paid just under 100 for a Hair at Walmart.
Run it on a 1500 watt inverter.
Has enough room for groceries, plus a small freezer for meat.
This is my second one. Each one lasts me about 3 years.

    Boattlebot Thanks this.

If i go the inverter mini fridge route I'd have to have a cig lighter inverter. The one on the truck only works when my apu is running.
