Are these the same climate scientists Gore was telling us about no antarctic ice in 2014 (wasn't that the year the boat load of climate scientists got stuck in the ice?) The same scientists who threw out actual historical thermature records so they could use computer generated models to "make up for inaccuracy" due to thermal islands which showed the global spike and the leveling (which happened after their warnings they still can not explain) in the 2000-2008 period? Their warnings of huge El Nino ocean warming causing mass flooding in California in 2015 (didn't happen, not much rain in fact). Maybe they shouldn't be gagged but shot instead.

 

The fact checker sites aren't partisan. Tom Tancredo was sourcing the same bogus paper that your source was so it applies. I'm NOT the enemy here... The huffington post is at least as bad about facts as your guys. Your paper claims it's the GAO but the GAO never actually said that illegals commit 25% of the murder rate. We actually don't know how many murders are committed by illegals but they make up about 7-8% of murder arrests in Texas. That's not nothing, illegals do kill people occasionally, and the Mexican organized crime syndicates are a real problem for our whole system because of their corrupting influence.

The fun thing is that you can slap liberals around plenty without resorting to lying with numbers. I didn't insult you, I insulted your source, which since they verifiably did at least two dishonest things in the article you cited is pretty fair.

Ask any liberal about the good things that the department of agriculture, Health and human services, or HUD do for them. Ask them about the DOJ which is probably the single most corrupt organization in the country. Ask them about military waste which is by itself likely 30% of the federal budget. (Military spending is 60% of the federal budget. Calling that 50% waste isn't even remotely a stretch) Ask them why we have 4.8M people whose freedom has been stripped from them by the state. Ask them about people's property being seized (really stolen) without due process of any kind.

Our federal government is way too big and it chokes the efficiency out of everything it touches. We are wasting 20 cents out of every dollar produced in this country. We are not poor, and we are not unproductive, but the extremely wealthy have all but taken over our government and are profiting from their government granted monopolies every day. In economics we call this behavior rent-seeking. It means collecting money off of systemic issues that produce no value for anyone. Literally money for nothing. We don't have a conservative or a liberal problem in this country, we have a rent-seeking problem.

None of this is because anyone is evil. Everyone is just looking out for #1 and passing the buck. Liberals genuinely feel that people deserve a hand up when they are down. That's a nice idea, and it would be fine if it were done somewhat efficiently. Unfortunately special interests never fail to exploit large scale government programs, so no matter how good they look on paper that's rarely what happens when the rubber touches the road.

EDIT: When I say ask them about 'x' there's a very specific pattern you need to follow. Ask them what the department does. Let them answer. Ask them what the budget for that department is, they will not know, tell them what the budget is. Then tell them exactly how much money that department should be spending on every man/woman/child in america based on the budget. The two numbers won't be remotely close, which will reveal that most of the money is being consumed by federal employees. Rest your case and leave them with their cognitive dissonance.

Frikin local government will do nothing about landlords who bought up the houses after the housing market crashed and turned them into 12 men to a house flop houses.

You should see the trash that is in the yards of what used to be an older respectable neighborhood.

The houses would be empty instead without the real estate speculators buying them up and turning them into rentals. The FL market got massively overbuilt before the crash, which meant that some of those 'nice' neighborhoods were going to get left out when the market crashed. I'm sorry to hear that your neighborhood was one of these.

Cheap rentals in the neighborhood results in things like crowds of immigrants moving in. I'm not for the immigrants, but if it wasn't them it would be something else. At least the immigrants work for a living.

 

That's one way to cash out on the house yeah. Probably safer legally and physically to just start a fire though.

I'm not a liberal so I actually don't have a problem with Trump. He worries me a little bit, and I had serious reservations about him leading up to the election. I still do honestly. The man doesn't pay his vendors... I can't be the only person who that really bothers. I live in fear of just one of my customers acting like he does. Does him being elected president make that kind of behavior acceptable?

But yeah the alternative was HRC. I won't delve too deeply on how I feel about her because it isn't relevant anymore. Suffice it to say that I was never a fan and I'm much less of one now that she's lost an unloseable race. Let's just say that she, like a lot of Democrats, has major competence issues. Her campaign ads were just laughable, as was her campaign strategy and her messaging. She deserved to lose and so did the Dems for ramming her through. If they wanted to win Tim Kaine, Joe Biden, and some younger charismatic woman would have all been in the primary. Instead Democrats had to choose between their grandmothers crappy (is it supposed to be crunchy?) casserole and a card carrying socialist.

Yeah this election wasn't one I was very happy about. Either you choose the low ceiling and almost certainly garbage candidate, or you pick the candidate who could potentially be game changing (in a good way) who also seems like he could blow up the world. What a great time. Did wonders for my blood pressure.
