95N in Idaho?

It's not bad at all. Never did it oversize but hauled quite a few glass loads up through there and the only issues really were the frost heave speeds limits. The hill at Bonner's Ferry was usually pretty clean. In fact the whole road seemed pretty well taken care of during the winter, minus the heaves ofc.

I'm assuming you meant the Kingsgate crossing btw.

Often times a roadside DOT checkpoint on 95 to check these kingpin laws as well as the rest of the truck.

 

check permits on 95 nb from 84.to 12 dont recall ever seeing oversize on it but I dont get that way every day of the week. there's a couple of tight stretchs

Ya,I've been to Lewiston,Clarkston and Moscow,Idaho.There's a brake check area at the top of the hill.The Idaho scales are pretty fair dealing.The worst part was the bicycling people In The Road when I came down the steep grade.Road has ripples and washboards.Be Aware of the Yahoo's that may be in the road around the curves.Seriously,WTF these bicyclists "are in the road after rounding the second steep curve" Not too bright.Coming out of Clarkston on 95 is the challenge.It's steep winding uphill battle for like 8 miles!

Heading to Lewiston from where? Boise area or Coeur d"Alene area? I have been that way many times in a truck. There is a length limit restriction from Council to Grangeville area that you will need a permit for. 61' if I recall correctly. And tandems slid all the way forward IIRC. Cda down... No problem, Just watch for fog and the Lewiston Grade.

 

yeah, I can think of three spots you'll have fun with, could be worse. or should I say fun-ner.
