Your inventor should probably focus on more reliable sensors.
The people you need o be talking to are truck or engine manufacturer.
Before any of that though, you need a patent in place to protect the invention.

Cummins X15 is already on a market. I've seen 2018 model trucks included with that X15. Check em on truckpaper.

Your a master's business student but you fail to know who your market is?
Do you think truck drivers, O/Os, are going to buy this product even if it did work? In what world do you think the EPA, and truck manufactures, are going to allow truck drivers to tamper with their exhaust and ECM to allow your product to be installed.
