20170205_093509.jpg 20170205_093647.jpg first pic is young bananas growing. They are smaller and s better taste than the ones we buy in the States. You can get them in the States at most asian markets.
The next pic is how my father in law makes charcoal for sale. He doesn't do it much any more as price has fallen

20170205_094010.jpg here is a pic of an old rice de huller
Put the rice in and turn the crank. It takes the outer hull off the rice, you then still have to screen it to clean out the dirt. We don't grow rice any more, as we can't grow enough really to turn a profit

That's cool. We grow a lot of rice around here. It's neat to see how others mill the crop

They have newer machines now. The rice is still planted by hand. So we would hire people to come help with the planting. Back then going rate was 200 baht a day. We paid 225 baht a day and even fed them lunch. I wanted to have good help to plant straight rows, plus my wife's family is respected here. So we paid a little more. That way we always got the same people back every season. It is back breaking work standing ankle plus deep in water and mud

Yeah you can get them in the US and Canada... I ordered my from Home Depot, cost me $719 CDN or $551 US (plus local taxes about $820 CDN)... Very expensive but worth every dollar I spent on it.. My model has many options like deodorizer, sanitizer, heated seat, heated on demand water, front (for the ladies) and back wash, massage (sprayer moves front to back while washing, air dryer and more.. You can get cheaper models that don't have as many options or you can get non-electric ones that just sprays (much like the hose @passingthru69 posted.

Here is what mine look like

No we don't do cat. Lol. Now north Thailand does have dog, sad to say.
During cold season dark hair dog is popular as they think it will keep them warmer
