Here is a company to look in that I was at for 6 1/2 years. Transport National in Sharonville, Ohio. Don't let the "Low" percentage rate of 23% or 24% discourage you, even though they have elogs and are governed at 65 I made a lot of money.

    MJ1657 and Pontimaniac Thank this.

Man that's pretty good right there. I'm just so used to working a hourly wage that this whole trucking pay scale of cpm or %pay kinda intimidates me. I never been the type to gamble with my income but that gives me a big piece of mind knowing i to have at least the potential to make that kind of change starting out as a newbie. Did they force you to stay out a couple weeks straight for that amount or were you home every weekend during that process?

Thanks I'm going to look into them now and see if they hire new grads. What made you leave them after 6yrs?

Go percentage if you can't go hourly, mileage is a fools game. I'm curious forgot to asks earlier, did TMC tell they would have you home on the weekends every weekend?

Yeah the recruiter said that i would mostly be home every Friday afternoon until either Sunday night or monday morning but on they're website it says i think 48 out of 52weeks for the year. I wonder if it's optional or Mandatory to have to stay out that long sometimes.

Well I don't know, and maybe on a dedicated type route it would work fine. I do know on an otr gig making weekend home time a priority can limit income pretty quickly.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I'm not sure I've lost track. I just have an inherent distrust of recruiters and I know enough about over the road trucking to know your not going to work five days, home in the weekend every weekend and make money. Especially for a bottom feeder, there are definitely regional type work and niche carriers that you could do that with but not these industry wrecking companies.

Oxbow, MJ1657 and Pontimaniac Thank this.
