Red wings are good, but they are a high maintenance boot. If you don't buy the made in usa, 200 dollar pair, you might as well go to kohls and get timberlands, every time someone tells me their red wings didn't last, it ends up being a story about how their bargain basement chinese worx didn't last.

Every time I hear the "red wing sucks" line, it's either from a guy who stands in a swamp every day and doesn't take care of them, or its from someone who buys their cheap competition brand and expects it to be just as good.

Would you expect blue point to be as good as snap on?

These boots are stylish which is the main reason I got them. There's a workboot store,I stopped there first but they had the ugliest boots.

Don't take what I said the wrong way, nothing wrong with timberlands, I just see them as a good boot to wear until the soles blow out, then chuck em and buy another pair.

What model did you wear? I know a lot of people get wrapped up in comfort soles, insulation, and all the other latest fads. I like my 2245's because it has a hard rubber sole and no insulation. Comfort soles don't give me the support I want after a couple hours, makes my back hurt. The insulation isnt always needed, and makes the boot feel too sloppy to climb around on a deck.

Sorry but I dont have any pics. They re just a pair of work boots but Ray thought they were the sexiest thing. When I walled in the door after work you would think I was wearing a gown by the look on days face.when all I was wearing is a workshirt jeans and boots.I think maybe the workshirt and boots together is why Ray couldn't keep his eyes off me.
