    I've always loved it when a lady wore boots. Wife knows I will spend more on her a pair of boots than on jewelry.

    I'd say a lot depends on how you use them. If you are in the mud and grime, they tend to dry out crack, and the stitches break. Mink oil does help that.

    If you keep them fairly dry anyway, oil may not help that much.
