I use 0W40 , year round running up and down from frozen Canada to hot weather Laredo Texas. Regular filters and about 30- 35k miles oil change interval.
1,770,000 miles on my D13 ,no in frame yet , I used only Shell Rotella T6 5w40 since june '07 when I purchased the truck new, and over past year I switched to this 0W40 after reading some articles about 0w40 in European trucks,; I buy it like this from Canadian Tire, Wall Mart, Meijer, Rural King by and take it to my shop, I don't trust bulk synthetic from lube shops. I read that aprox.90% of all the engines damage here in Canada is caused by cold starts, thin synthetic oils helps.

    Very nice !!!

Their T6 product is an awesome oil !!....., not to be confused with the standard 15w-40 dino oil..which is a terrible performing oil

The best thing about a 0w-40 is that it has EXTREMELY DIVERSE capability !!
    Very very good....:)

.... it flows amazing when it's cold on startup YET has the 40wt oil for when it's warmed up and can protect against severe heat conditions

    Crude Truckin' Thanks this.

Yeah. Every 12k miles. If n14 cummins wont work with synthetic, probably a 14.6 c15 wont work to put 5w40.

Thats the SDP you got. No more twins with a spark plug on it. You have old school twins on it then. But will 10w40 work on 6nz/mbn?
