Just did the math on it. I average 3416 miles per week since I started working with the company I'm with now. The miles will come if you bust your tail.

Check with your state on the WIOA program. It paid for my training and even gave me a check for milage.

Ok so it really does just depend. I noticed mcelroy is mostly regional same thing with howard. Im looking at tmc and also daseke or something like that. They own a lot of flatbed companies

Flatbed is a different world. It's not necessarily all about miles. Got a friend who works for a large flatbed company. He works on percentage, rarely exceeds 2200 mile per week and cashes checks that make me want to cry. Of course his truck is slow, he's micromanaged and he has a camera in his face.

Thats one thing I've noticed I have looked at the following companies, tmc, p&s, wti and i was told kllm has a dedicated flatbed account. Most of those companies either pay % or offer it. What is percentage pay exactly, my uncle was trying to explain it to me but he couldn't figure out the best way

You get a percentage of what the truck makes.

Oh ok so lets say the load pays the company 2k and you make 28% thats what like 550 or 560. Whether its a 50 mile run or a 500 mile load. Basically mileage doesn't matter when paid % only when paid by the mile

    Oxbow Thanks this.
