Heck ive only found one other company that pays pretty good for someone with little or no experience. I have been talking to a kllm company driver and he has told me that if you don't get a dedicated account then the miles will really fluctuate. Some weeks 900 dollars other weeks 700. With dedicated you still hardly ever reach 1k a week. Ive also been talking to a driver for watkins in Myrtle. The pay per miles is crappy but on an average week he gets about 20 to 30 stops at $20 apiece plus the mileage pay

You don't always have to start big. Do more shopping. I'm with a smaller outfit that's pretty family oriented. Just last week when I burned out my 70 and got stuck out about 100 miles from home they sent a relief driver out to grab the truck so I could use the co car and make it home for a reset.
Sometimes its not always about pay, its the perks that make it worthwhile. -
The good companies are not on the internet. Bang on some doors. While you're at it hustle yourself a couple more part time jobs. Win WinLast edited: Feb 10, 2017

Tarp repair, reload trailers, make bundles of bungee's, company yard dog. Our warehouse guys tarp the larger oversize loads that come back to the yard heading out long distance.

Ill talk to them. There is a guy that lives down the road he has a truck with a flatbed on it and no company logos
cke Thanks this.
