And that I know of I run more power in a truck than anyone on this forum.... and a very crappie/poor truck at that... not bragging about it but I've been doing it for quite awhile now.... if my #### isnt/wasn't right I could not do it. Took me a year and a half to get it acceptable to me....
-
your runnin what 400 watts??
-
Yes on am bird watts--- probably not that much in a big truck.. what shows on a bench isn't going to be the same in a trk... all smoke and mirrors !!!!

Just bought 15ft of braided ground strap probably should have bought 30ft. For this great truck I drive
Neverready Thanks this. -
Hang a piece of that ground strap under the truck so it drags on the ground

This is what I used in my Volvo 770.
I met lots of folks running things 4 times the size in their trucks with mixed results.
Probably not likely to run anything larger in a company truck unless your boss springs for a larger alternator or two.bored silly Thanks this. -
Seen this in a Cascadia today.
Might need to enlarge to get a better look at the antenna set up.Attached Files:

Mixed results surprised they got any results.... anything more than a 8 pill in a truck is overkill and probably should be used as a base unit... or in key down competitions... which I was surprised to find out has quite a bit of scratch involved $$$... at least back in the days when it was so much more popular
