I don't understand what all the fuss is over leasing. You don't have to be real smart to drive a truck to begin with. I am doing a lease myself. The only way I see so far to fail is if you are sitting around the truck stop not working. I am new to driving trucks. But so far I take my load from point A to point B. Then i move on to the next one. And so far I'm clearing on average $1600 a week after expenses. So if you can't make it leasing it's your own fault.

#### the beliefs. We all need to share information so we can all get ahead. This isn't a career path that one or two people should be successful at. We all want to know how to get the most money out of this.

Who did you lease on with?

Tradewinds. I'm ####ing dying over here man. My check from last week was $121 after deductions. I'm going to switch over to Road Runner by the middle of April. I've already gotten approved for them. Tradewinds is ######## but it was the easiest way for me to get the truck without going through all the traveling and orientation days with most companies. I'm jumping ship soon.

Didnt read the whole thing. Got just into it, when a great big giant mistake, jumped out at me.
BAD MATH
The weekly payment should be multiplied by 52 weeks in a year. Not four weeks in a month.
$695×52=36,140 per year
If you divide that by month its $36,140÷12=3011.67
Anyway your 84 months SEVEN YEARS!!!!! Comes out to $36,140×7= $252,980.
That is $19,460 MORE than you initially stated -
2nd mistake that jumped out at me. E logs are not because of an over reaching govt. In fact most in govt including law enforcement. Arw against them. E logs are primarily a money making tool for LARGE companies represenred by the ata.
Thru e logs a safety dept of 10 employees making say $45,000 each per year. Thats $450,000 total, can now be reduced to 2 employees. Remember safety dept is an expense, not a revenue generator. Theu the elog the company can computer plan and dispatch. There goes another 8 jobs. The elog can also be fitted with a built in scanner. So paper work gets to the computerized billing faster. There goes another 5 jobs. So lets see ata spends massive amounts of money. Lobbying the govt for e logs, to baby sit the drivers. In the process the company can fire 15 employees 15×$4500=$675,000 not including vaca pay sick pay insurance cost and thier share of the employees fica 6.5% Thats alone is $43,875
Dont always be so quick to blame the govt. Everyones favorite scapegoatMade_In_Haiti and Heathar Thank this. -
