Mostly you just don't get routed by the house weekly. I run the US div and I go just about everywhere. I usually run TX up to MN over to PA and down to FL and everything in between. I have been to CO a couple times. I am not sure where all long haul runs, but I know they go to CA.

Can you tell me about the Qualcomm’s OmniTRACS Satellite Communications System? Does this route you or would you need maps or a GPS? Also do the Maverick trucks have a double bunk?

We live on the coast NC - out of hiring area. My husband is starting CDL school soon and we're trying to pick a trucking company to apply to. Since Mav is out of hiring zone what other companies are as good?

I can't recall seeing a Maverick truck with a double-bunk (all I see are mid-roofs, single bunk). The Qualcomm has a GPS unit, but it's not going to tell you turn by turn or anything. Maverick might send routing, but part of being a truck driver is planning your route.

    Partrek Thanks this.

Double bunks are trainer trucks. You can request routing and fuel stops if you want. You always want a good truckers atlas.

    Partrek and NukedNative Thank this.

Pfft, there I was replying because I hadn't seen you on.

How long until we see drivers asking if they actually have to drive the truck or if they can sleep in the back and get paid? Doesn't anyone want to work for a living?

I saw the debate on in our terminal. It seriously disgusts me these are the best candidates we have to run our country. So I came back to my truck.
