I think auto correct might have changed "tails" to "tags" in his post.
I used to use bungies but the way I store them now makes it much faster to just use duct tape.passingthru69, MJ1657, 4mer trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh ok. I don't use 4" straps but I have a little thing I do with 2" straps that works great.MJ1657, Oxbow and 4mer trucker Thank this.

I got a trick for both sizes. Didn't I put up my very first pictures of this very thing? But they kept coming on upside down as I remember.
Hm well I'll remember to take pics next time I go truckin and put them here. No sticky nothing. No residue. Nothing sharp. Nothing to prevent more clicks later on down the line.1951 ford, DDlighttruck, MJ1657 and 2 others Thank this. -
Bring it on I'm interested.

This is what I do with my 2" straps.
Logan76, Lepton1, snowman_w900 and 4 others Thank this. -
I would either trap the tail (looped like the above picture) between the strap and the load / trailer, or make a loop, leaving out some extra tail and tie the tail to the strap. In Chile, the drivers hauling our stuff would loop the tail around the two posts in the handle before putting the handle in the lock-down position... slick and tidy.
passingthru69 and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
I don't use straps very often, but I want the ends secured where they absolutely positively want come loose. Gorilla tape has never failed.
Have you every seen what happens when a strap end wraps around a trailer wheel?cnsper Thanks this. -
Nothing like watching a rub rail and ratchet get twisted and torn to shreds along with the load.
btw is that you sitting in the back lot of Oklahoma City Petro?
