Schneider is a dumpster fire, the fire will grow and continue to grow until all true ic's are gone and the glorified fleece drivers are running Schneider which allows them to collect those 1200 weekly
truck payment along with all the proceeds while the driver sees 300/400 dollar settlements

Of course they have the right. Not going to even try to argue that point. Thankfully we also have the the right to call them out on what they are really doing on forums such as this.

Whelp, time to get my own authority and bail. It's been real, Schneider. Enjoy the dent to your safety record as all the long time, experienced IC's are sent packing. Safety my ###.

So. When are we to expect this letter?

I will clearly be bailing out of here before putting that nonsense on my truck.

Im confused. Arn't schneider ICs more or less company drivers that pay fuel? Or is that only the lease guys (or is ic/lease the same?). Not trying to troll or be rude never really researched it.

It won't but it will let Schneider monitor and alert Schneider to drivers that follow too closely.

Basically it comes down to this...Lofgren is a power hungry CEO who not only wants control totally of drivers but the way they treat customers it seems they want control of customers too..there will be the demise of this co...not saying they will fold but they will never get back the reputation they had when Don Schneider ran the co....what a shame because they used to be a driver's co even as big as they are because that's what Don Schneider demanded...

Some of us brought our own trucks on and only pay for plates through them. We work when we want and do the loads we want. Our trucks are set up the way we want. The fleace trucks have high weekly payments, which gives Schneider more control. All and all though, the drivers have the choice to be signed on with Schneider or go elsewhere. All the ic's choose there own loads off the Schneider load board. This thread was made to make people aware of a new requirement. Ultimately it's up to us if we comply or move on. Schneider is just changing things to the way they want it. This is their right as a company.
