I know what Wikipedia says.
Yeah we had analog ch2 also which stopped a lot of 6m activity. I have been waiting to put back up the 6m vertical I made years ago, I did some 6m am work but nothing really exciting.
The reason I brought it up was because there is some weird things that happen on 6.
The one thing I could not do is learn CW and make it stick, I thought I had it down and got so far to copy it, could get to the point to understanding it at the 20wpm but then I waited to take the test, took the written for all from novice to extra and then went to the code test (they just changed the code requirements to listing only) and bombed pretty bad. I found out that I have an inner ear problem, pitch perfect hearing when it comes to sounds but CW is one thing that people like me have the hardest time with. The docs said no problems, the FCC wouldn't grant a waiver so I was stuck.
My kids all know it, they had to learn it and how to use it (it was one of them "challenges") my dad taught them, he learned it in the 50's and never forgot it. He still messes with them by sending them VM in code.
