I've seen one by the body shop. If they have manual mode disabled like the freightliner I wouldn't want one. They are also over 1000lbs heavier than the freightliner.

Do we need to specifically ask for a load to get us home or do the planners arrange that based on dates requested?
-

Sitting here at the Pilot in Chillicothe, watching all the trucks try to deal with the fact that the parking lot is a dead end with very limited room to turn around.
I can laugh because the same thing happened to me my first or second week out of training. "That lot is probably full, but I'll check it anyways. If it's full, I'll just drive through and head to the next one." One hour and one blind-side back later with the help of not one, not two, but THREE friendly truckers to get me parked in the last spot, and I finally shut her down for the night.
Today, of course, there were five empty spots in a row, so even I could make that blindside back solo without hitting anything. Only took me six minutes! <koff>
Today was a blast from the past in another way. I'm hauling a load of brakes from FDP in Tappahannock. That was my VERY FIRST LOAD AS A TRUCKER EVER when I was in training with my first trainer. He rolled in from Chesapeake, they introduced us, we got in the truck, and I drove out to Tappahannock for my first real trucking experience.
That load went to Lakeland, FL. This load is going to the confusingly-named Delaware, OH. Still, there was a moment of wistful nostalgia as I opened up that mailbox and looked for my paperwork.ChrisL, MidWest_MacDaddy, Crusader66 and 2 others Thank this. -

Just got in this morning from long island. Left early monday (4amish) and ran around all week. Managed to pickup a 3 inch long bolt in my rear outside drive tire. Its tubeless and the bead broke so it was just on the rim loose. Found it in hazelton pa. That was monday afternoon. Otherwise nothing much else to report. Got my load for monday morning north of the tappen zee along the hudson.
Hope things are well for everyone elseMidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.
