Turkey was always my least favorite meat plant.
I'm in Albert Lea. Picking up more glass tomorrow just north of here, to go back to Sacramento. And we are still missing office staff. But my CSR is back so I finally got the #### out of Nebraska.
But wasn't I headed too Sacramento already? Yeah. Someone decided 6 hours to spare wasn't enough. So thier pet lease op with student, got the load on my 34. Cause freight slow and he didn't want to haul a heavy ole coil. "So much for well have something for you after you 34."
But it is the first time I've truly been messed with, so I'm already over it. -
Pine bluffs WY. Sinclair.
Just cruising along, might be an opening in the recovery team in March or April. I ran into one of our Recovery drivers, and he said he'd give my driver code to his dispatcher. We talked for two hours (on the phone.) Turns out the recovery drivers are actually dispatched by the Phoenix body shop. We shall see what happens. He got recruited straight out of oreintation cause he had done RGN work in the army.
If I get it, I'll probably be here longer. If not, oh well. -
Been some time so thought that I would say hello. Everything is okay. running mostly mid west to the southwest and back again. The only thing that sucks right now, our fuel discounts at Roadrunner changed this year. Where we used to get up to almost .60/gal at the Loves and T/A's dropped down to if lucky .07 -12/gal. There are some rumors floating around. Also where I am at, the name on our trucks is going to be changed later this year to Roadrunner thermos logistics, I think.

Makes me wonder if Roadrunner is "pulling a Swift" where the fuel discount is concerned. As in pocketing the discount rather than passing it along to the owner. Probably the #1 reason I'm no longer an O/O with Swift.

I had a good scare early this morning.
Around 0430 on SB I-77 and there are high beams in the distance.
I flash mine once to no effect, and the car gets closer.
It was less than 1/2 mile away, and just as I noticed an SUV passes me going around 80.
What I noticed was that the car was driving north bound in the south bound fast lane.
I was sure I was going to witness, or be involved in, a head on collision and I started slowing down pretty quickly.
The oncoming car stayed in that lane and the SUV swerved out of the way just in time. But there could not have been more than 150 feet of distance to spare.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
It's becoming a epidemic ... same thing happened to me in IA on I80 in the fog back before Christmas.
FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
I'd like to know how you get on a freeway going the wrong way... by accident.

It's not like I haven't heard or seen footage of equally stupid things. But I suspect the individual may have been under the influence, cause I'd like to keep a minor speck of faith in my fellow man intact.
Haven't seen that in person, but I did see a truck a few months ago backing up the exit ramp to I15. There abouts of Scipio UT. -
In my case it was foggy and in the morning ... I think they just turned down the off ramp thinking it was the on ramp.
