Has anyone done Schneider...

A buddy of mine has been out a year, and Schneider wants him to go to a 18 (?) day course in Atlanta.

 

Unless I'm sorely mistaken the 18 day course is Orientation which also includes driver training. Though they may also have a an 18 day "refresher" course. I find the latter hard to believe though since the school they sent me to was only 20 days. In orientation they end up testing and training you on the driving skills as well as sending you out on the road with a trainer for a week.

You never can tell what these companies are thinking.

 

On their website there is a 3 day refresher course in MN I would need a refresher to drive anywhere except Werner again I was wondering if there any intel on the program. Is there a contract or anything? I plan to call recruiting tomorrow to ask questions. I'll post my answers here . I'm just wondering if this is a good company to go with

 

Recruiter told me I don't need the refresher. Last time they said I did. Idk I don't want to do otr and that's all they offer where I live

 

lol, yep Florida isn't the best place for Schneider.

 

Apparently it's isn't good for any company haha. It's so hard to find work

 

Schneider was offering a deal where they would fly you to an OC, then drive for three weeks then fly you home for 5 days. That was offered for Florida, Alaska or any rural area.

 

Their still offering this, as I have been looking into it. might be nice run outside again....kinda miss WV turnpike...

 

Probably going to schneider tanker division soon.
