One accident.

One wreck (not an accident, it was poor driving) will not kill your chances. Your attitude might be a problem though.
You did not have to exceed the speed limit, you chose to causing a wreck. If you would have slowed down and gotten behind the vehicle no wreck.
Going in with the attitude of not my fault, the world is picking on me will get you nowhere.

 

Its up to their insurance.About your accident,you did not have to speed up to merge.Sometimes you have to slow down or stop till its plenty clear.

 

Especially at yields where you have this itty-bitty turn out lane that gives you 25 feet of run before it merges. Always hated it, but I'd also nearly always stop. *shrug* Tis what must be done to preserve yourself, career & equipment.

 

Unfortunately companies don't wanna hear anything you have to say.They see your record and you're guilty as charged.They have policies and no driver can change it.Some companies are stricter then others.Even if you have a crystal clear MVR before this accident companies do not care.Point is this was a bad accident by from what I read and it happened not too long ago.So you may have to wait a few yes.

 

No but your choice led to the accident if you had made a better or different choice it may of avoided it. This is how safety departments see it aswell as insurance companies... You may not of chose to get into a wreck but you chose to accelerate and lost control.
