Please beware of any lease purchase program. Diesel, Maintanence, Truck Payments plus escrow (if the company has it) come out every week rather you ran 3500 miles or 1500 miles. In the end in my opinion why take on the headache and be at the disposal of the company to give you the necessary miles to make a descent pay.

Well...there's absolutely no information about the lease/purchase program on the site. When you click on the "details" link, it goes to the application page, and that bothers me.
I have yet to see ONE lease/purchase plan that was worth a second look, much less one look. When a web site, a tool that should be useful to sell themselves to interested parties, has a complete lack of details on it, I am even more skeptical.
When you call a recruiter, they are likely versed in selling the company and will tell a man whatever they want to hear to get them interested. An absense of particulars on the site leaves me thinking that it is like the others out there, and not likely to be any better than the others. If it were, they'd offer the details. -
has any body worked for maverick flat bed company out of little rock??
-
there is a driver here on these boards, i can't remember his name, he's been with maverick and he might see this thread and respond.
-
Are you thinking of that Amos 1963 character? I wouldn't trust any info from him.
-
Actually, there IS another guy here somewhere who works at Maverick. At least he was working there last week. And this guy isn't Amos.

Anything I can learn.
I want to know who I am going to be working for.
Oh, and they should really be put in the DAC section, they just aquired Schneider's Specialised Flatbed division, so they are size-worthy now.
Basically all I know about them is that they run late-models, Qualcomm, and the aquisition from Scheider. -
Well, I don't personally work for them, but I know someone who is going to their training.
I just graduated CDL school and one of the guys who finished with me is going to Maverick. He was on a waiting list for about 2 months before he started school and is leaving next week for training. That's about all I know about them.
Do a search here and there are a few threads on the company.
Good luck,
Dave -
They have a drop yard about 30 miles from my house, and a good friend of mine drives for them. He's been driving there for about 6 years now, and has nothing but good things to say about the company. He gets decent home time, about every other weekend. His only complaint is that all of the new trucks they are buying are automatic. I checked his rig out the other day, and they're pretty nice. Qualcomm, collision warning system, but again it's automatic, and they're switching over to the X one singe drive tire. Not really sure if that's a good or bad thing yet.
