    I was thinking about the things you mentioned, also...just reading all i can as this would be a totally new venture for me...i was thinking of switching from dry van to flatbed but am now considering the possibility of running a 1ton....still a lot to consider...

    Honestly, you have so many more options with a semi/flat bed than you will with a one ton pickup. I've been in the hotshot business now for three years and it's not an easy business to make consistent money in. I wish I would have done more research before I took the leap.
