Please forgive me if this seems stupid. I was working for Swift and after my 3rd month without a check I had to quit. (long story) Anyway I am currently in California and trying to go home to FL. Some one suggested trying to see If I could drive my way back. So I am looking for maybe small companies who have had the truck stranded by a driver that got mad and flew home. I would like to help you get your tractor back to you and maybe make a little money. If you know of any one who could use something like this please let me know a name and number I could call or you can message me and I will get in touch with you if you are the one who wants his truck back.
Thanks IHM
Where did that idiot driver dump my Tractor?

I hope you realize this falls under interstate transportation and needs MC authority . No one will use you if you don't have proper insurance and authority .
-
He doesnt have a truck,he is saying he will drive someone elses truck back to them. But I am sure he will have to take a drug test and get on their insurance to bring a truck back.
-
Even without a truck he's still transporting . Ever notice the cardboard signs taped to the windows of RV's and trucks being delivered ? They all have the name of the transport company and DOT number . See question 6 . http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/administration/fmcsr/interp390.5.htm

It took 3 months without getting paid to quit?
-
If the second part company had a truck abandon would he need a MC #? Seems to me he be running on the owner of the truck MC to get the truck back. Not like he driving a brand new truck or a used one they may just bought. Still it can be worked out to run on the companies MC#. -
You can probably walk home faster than you can make this happen.Very unlikely that there are any abandoned trucks sitting or headed your way.Find another job or bum a ride from the nearest truckstop.
-
The company would have to follow all the procedures for hiring in that case - employment history , drug test , road test , etc. Not feasable .
-
True.. But was an Idea he had I think.. -
Car rental companies sometimes have cars they need moved from one part of the country to another: you buy the gas, they don't charge you.
I've got lots of time. Tell me your long story about not getting paid for three months.
