I hope you realize this falls under interstate transportation and needs MC authority . No one will use you if you don't have proper insurance and authority .

 

He doesnt have a truck,he is saying he will drive someone elses truck back to them. But I am sure he will have to take a drug test and get on their insurance to bring a truck back.

 

Even without a truck he's still transporting . Ever notice the cardboard signs taped to the windows of RV's and trucks being delivered ? If the second part company had a truck abandon would he need a MC #? Seems to me he be running on the owner of the truck MC to get the truck back. Not like he driving a brand new truck or a used one they may just bought. Still it can be worked out to run on the companies MC#.

 

You can probably walk home faster than you can make this happen.Very unlikely that there are any abandoned trucks sitting or headed your way.Find another job or bum a ride from the nearest truckstop.

 

The company would have to follow all the procedures for hiring in that case - employment history , drug test , road test , etc. Not feasable .
