I used to drive for Greyhound it sucked
you start on the extra board on call 24/7 but you for the most part get home everyother day
You deal with ########## everyday from managment to the passengers to other drivers who will steal your runs and screw you over spend 30min on hold for a dispatcher almost every time best thing I did was quit![]()

Is it a decent life? -
uh, bus driving?? You may not get many replies on here from experienced BUS drivers.
Sorry, I can't help. I'm just a truck driver. -
LOL-im sure he will find someone who now drives trucks but use to drive buses....

I'd suggest he ride a couple of hundred miles on a bus then reconsider . From what I've seen of passengers unloading at Pilots you couldn't pay me enough to drive with my back to them .

Busses are not so bad. I drive for a tour bus company now and then. You have to like people. You get some a-holes. You get an automatic and you sleep in motels - how about that?
munrkr Thanks this. -
Ain't no way on God's green earth you could pay me enough to drive a Greyhound, shuttling some of the filthiest dregs across the country. No way. I've ridden a few and I'm here to tell you... there just ain't no way. Huh-uh. Rather haul hogs.
I sincerely apologize for not answering your question, but...
... just ain't no way. -
