You don't know what you need to know in this situation.
Knowing speed/distance/route/time starting/time stopping etc will rule out a lot of different possibilities. You'll be able to verify logs, fueling locations, speed, route, etc. It's a good cheap place to start. Pulling the guy into your office and grilling him and basically suggesting he's on drugs is not going to help your business. Firing a guy for an unknown issue when he's doing everything else right also isn't great. I think the OP is better off with a steady hand at the tiller and developing some basic background on what's going on before he digs into this guy. I think the ECM dumps are also a good idea and combined with GPS data will tell you A LOT.rank Thanks this. -
2 thoughts come to mind.
Selling fuel.
or
He's not on cruise control ( I know people who wont use it ) and he has a heavy foot. Need a tender foot with a C15.
Either send him on his way or govern the truck.

You guys know that there are a group of us that talk about these driver's issues and hash out these problems with first hand knowledge of how to do things without causing a stink. -
Any update on this? You confront him

Inquiring minds want to know.

Then I think is that SOB selling fuel to pickup trucks by siphon? -
Uummm...
You said he's an experienced driver; is he an experienced 13 speed driver??? I've known plenty of drivers that forgot to put the transmission into high split on the last gear, and they're driving with a couple extra RPMs most of their way.
Just another thought.
