You might want to step away from the news stand for a while. Get a fresh perspective. I've noticed a lot of your recent postings have a decidedly discouraging outlook. Yeah there's a lot of crap people and crap situations in this world, but I honestly believe that's the minority. It is because of our human nature that it makes better news.

As far as your OP, I was going to say we shouldn't rush to judgment ... that was before reading the article.
    Sometimes, stuff happens.

The last line of the article is very true . When a car is disabled on the interstate , get off the roadway away from it . I remember several years back on I-84 in CT when 2 women were in a stalled car and a retired state trooper pulled behind them and told them to get behind the guardrail . As he got in his car to leave he was rearended by a semi and burned alive in his car . I could never understand how that could happen . It was on a straight stretch of highway on an upgrade in broad daylight .

how can authorities advise, leave the car?

i was driving up north thru boise one very foggy night

a swift driver couldnt see and left his truck in the road

two trucks plowed into him and died.

i see it just as irresponsible, if not criminal to leave your disabled car ON the roadway, its better to try to move it off, though it is dangerous, but to leave it there is NOT a good alternative
