@Steelersjunkie That's pretty freaking awesome. I'm wondering if the company would get upset if you posted something negative? Or, are they happy with an objective opinion?

There are other drivers here that seem to echo what he has posted overall, that Millis is a good company to work for, but I've been wondering that also.

Seems to be a good company from what I've read. I think they properly train new people on how to manage your time, etc. I'm definitely NOT interested in running OTR, but Millis would be a consideration if I chose that Avenue.

Hey guys, I started reading Steelerjunkies threads a while back and finally made the decision to go with Millis! I got accepted and start February 20th at the Cartersville GA school! I can confirm as of my phone conversation an hour ago with Naomi (who works with Peggy) that Millis pays .42cpm to the student for every mile the truck rolls whether you are behind the wheel or not and it is NOT team pay, that is your pay!! Also, if you are a veteran of the US MILITARY like myself let me just tell you Millis wants you on their team and they prove that with a HUGE discount on your tuition, not your deposit but the tuition total cost! I'm so excited and ready to get started!!
Now its time to get my DOT card & CDL Permit!!

This is what I was told, directly from Dave Millis. He wants to see it all, the positive and negative. Obviously, being unnecessarily negative is counter-productive. But, how is he ever going to know what needs addressed if he never sees it? He was extremely genuine, and he really wants to make the company a place that has a positive view from its drivers, because it will spill over into recruitment and grow the company. I'll post something negative, if it serves the purpose of having an issue addressed. I encourage others to chime in and talk about the positives and the negatives. He wants to see what's working, and what isn't. That, my friends, is a guy I'll get behind.
