Well Ontario is adding more things into the LCV program... So get used to seeing more LCV's on the highways... Gonna be pretty crazy...
- More then 100 carriers can register now
- Can have more then 16 registrations
- More highways and secondary added
Here is a big one....
Containers will be added to the system... You think container drivers are bad now, wait until they are able to haul dual 53ft trailers.
Even crazier... Car haulers are going to be added to the program as well.... That is gonna look crazy having dual car hauling trailers... I do think this would look pretty sweet tho..

LCV's w/ cans are nothing new in Que and the Martitime's. Car haul doubles and LCV's are also not new either. I have pictures from the 70's and 80's regarding the car haul turnpikers.
Yes, can haulers have a bad rep overall, but the Armour LCV haulers hauling cans in NS and NB are pretty professional.
I'm not sure what regs ON and PQ currently have in place for LCV but the regs in NS and NB are pretty strict and heavily inforced.
Gov't - do you have a link for this new ON info ? I'd love to see it. Tks. Also, do you have any links / info what LCV drivers and O/O's are getting paid in ON right now ? I'd appreciate it. Tks. -
Should make merging even more interesting..
Pullin2 Thanks this. -

Challenger and Bison are paying .50/mile to cross the prairies and toronto to montreal, 2500 miles a week - F'N ridiculous especially considering they're governed at 90 km/h, so after tax you're probably getting a grand a week if you're lucky.
Loblaws is running triples in Sask, paying .65/mi, that's pretty decent considering it's mostly a straight line.
Bottom line, you can make just as much pulling just a tandem, less responsibility and quicker trips with less weight and no governed speed.Pullin2, Dye Guardian and upnorthwpg Thank this. -
Tks man. I think it's time I re-subscribed ..... -
Yeah I have been getting it for awhile now... It's free and I sent right to my mailbox at my house... Always good stories and articles to read !!!BigHossVolvo and Pullin2 Thank this.

Sounds like it won't be long and every tom dick and sahib will be swerving their brownish truck in and out of traffic in towns like it is on the prairies the last few years .. I miss the days when enforcement kept them in line now it's anything goes apparently
