I see them all the time, mostly newer Pete's and KW's, heard somewhere that they are factory option for Pete's.

You shouldn't have any problems just make sure you have them adjusted so they dont bother the other drivers.I have had hid lights on for 4 years maybe more they are dot approved and I have been all over the east and midwest up to Nebraska and never had a problem. You just have to adjust the lights once you change from halogen to hids so they aren't pointing up to high since hids were really made for projection lenses but do work in in other type of lensesas long as they are not up to high.

Some Paccar trucks offer them from the factory. 389 I know you can get them. It's not a common option from what I've seen...corporate customers usually ain't gonna spring for "fancy headlights" that cost a lot to repair.

Volvo, Freightliner and International you can get the Trucklite LED headlamps as a factory option I think. Very similar performance to Xenon HID.

It's not so much the brightness of the lights that blind other drivers, it has a whole lot to do with how they are adjusted.

Right, they can't adjust 80% at the factory and they just get worse from then. I can promise you, when your eyes get old and tired your going to hate those HID's

I sold out and retired last year, but I have some advice for those that are bothered by bright lights.

Went to the eye doctor a few months ago and the girls behind the counter were bragging up the glasses the Dr. gave them for computer use. I thought, I wish I could have tried them driving at night.

I bought a pair, they are amazing for night driving. They can be ordered with a prescription or off the shelf with out prescription for under 100$ well worth it. They don't hinder your vision at night at all. I can't brag these up enough for night driving, if bright lights bother you, you need these!

Bluetech glasses ; go to their web site to find out what eye dr. in your area has them. If I had these a year ago I might still have my truck! No, I don't think so, bright lights were only one of a hundred things that pissed me off after life time in the cab of a truck.

There are no dot approved hid conversion kits for halogen lights, there are no adjustments that can be made to correct the pattern nor there is any way to fix them so there isn't any glare.

Be careful in blinding other drivers.
