We had the DEF pump filter changed, and that seemed to fix the problem. IIRC, it needs to be changed about every 150k miles. Mind you, this is the PUMP filter, not the actual diesel particulate filter.

I never run that filter that long.
Once a year i replace it.
Together with the small airfilter for the DEF. -

Def filter is 38.98$
Air filter is 6.62$ in Chesapeake, VA at Freightliner. Def filter from fleet supply store is 27$ but have to wait 2 weeks for delivery. I need to start a freightliner parts thread. Thank you sir.

DDEA0001400694 is the DEF filter inlet screen. That is part 80 in the drawing above. Part 90 is the air inlet screen. I guess I need to go purchase one of those and keep it in the truck just in case also.
