    I laughed at the statement that someone would get a large pay raise (even in effect) after payments stopped, it doesn't work that way.

    Ah; I misunderstood your comment; please excuse me. I agree that it is in fact an oversimplification. What I meant is simply that the payment will eventually stop if I complete the lease. I would be a desperate fool to think that all that money would become disposable income. Mea culpa.
