Well I have a load of plastic pipe tomorrow so that is why I had to get them off of the deck.

You have a welder, torches, drill?
Build a pinch system to attach to the lower frame flange, attached to a lot of RR bridges this way when drilling was not an option. That will keep your tarps on the outside of the frame for easier access.

    Bad Monkey Thanks this.

Yep, definately got to get them off the deck. Been so long since i hauled pipe i forgot about it. I've seen guys roll the tarps up tight enough they fit over the boxes on the trailer. Drill a couple holes in the box to stick a bolt through the hooks on a 1 inch strap and there ya go. 5 minute to build tarp rack. I don't personally like that cause then the road spray from the tires gets them filthy, but if ya need to make something fast it will work.

    MJ1657 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Seen one the other day like you mentioned. Guy used small rubber coated holders, same as used in the frame rails to hold air lines and wires. Put his tarps on top the boxes between the axles and used bungy cords to hold them. I forgot about that till you mentioned it.

The ones I've seen just use 1 inch straps. Stick a bolt right though the circle pay of the hook. I assume they use a rubber washer under it to keep the water out. But i imagine those tarps get awfully nasty in winter, but if ya got to make something fast it would work and you can plug the holes later after you got more time to build a rack.

East makes weld on brackets to hang boxes and racks from without drilling, they get welded to cross members and the floor.

This is what I used so I can strap things on my boxes. You can crank things down tight without danger of tearing up the box. IMG_20160123_161830675.jpg

...more toolboxes n just put the tarps in them?
18"x18"x36" is perfect for 1 8' drop tarp with flap.

Wish I got more boxes on my new wagons.
