The wife hasn't started school yet, waiting for the community college's next class. I've called a few places but couldn't get much info, they say call back when she is done. She's gonna continue at her job while going through school, and I have a really good local job, so no big rush. We're gonna try to find a good fit before we jump out there. I've been doing this long enough to know not to listen to recruiter bs. If you have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. A west coast turn would be great.
Thanks

I know there are a few companies that allow you to train your wife if this is the route you want to go. Three years ago the only one who I could find that would allow me to train her from start to finish was Prime. We liked it OK there for training. A really good training facility with a great cafe....I miss that cafe. Pay was pretty good, I won't post it in public but feel free to PM me if you want to know what it was. One thing I liked about Prime was if we wanted to go somewhere we could request a load going there and they were pretty good about getting us there. We are more casual drivers and enjoy visiting different areas. Love going to Florida when it is so cold here in Utah. We went lease right away because we made more money than company. No way I would lease as a solo. It was a walk a way lease so that worked out well. I had a one year commitment to Prime but my wife did not. Once your commitment is up there are a lot of companies who want pre-made teams. I love all the options. If you want money there are companies that pay well. If you want a dedicated route with home time on the weekends there's that too. (currently this is what we have) Our next move will either be to go with a company that lets us plan our own loads or one of the companies that drives for country music or Broadway plays. I love all the options to fit our lifestyle. Good luck to you. Let me know if I can provide anymore information.

Shocker, did you ever find a company? We are a small operation, are more willing to look at the individual candidates as opposed to a generic box checking scheme. Ive had great success with a married team. I would love to discuss opportunities with you guys, determine whats the best fit in terms of a weekly route, the money vs time off eternal battle. Either way, you won't have a problem finding a company to scoop you guys up. My advice, start with a small company , you won't be just another driver.

If you happen to find a company that actually does dedicated please keep us updated. My husband and I have been driving team for 4 years and getting tired of produce. As for companies in our area it depends on how long you want to be out. Hardy Brothers, Cooke and Mountain River get you home every week. Hardy Brothers was an awesome company until they put in the driver cams which would be great if they didn't face in on the drivers and the new Hitler safety director. Cooke's also has the camera not sure about their safety director lol.

Try the LTL companies. Someone posted Estes Express now has nice Kenworth sleepers for teams. Those LTL jobs are drop & hook.
Old Dominion is another good one for husband/wife teams.Wright1always and kbarttt Thank this. -
Thanks I will look into those!
