So I have a new job hauling monster-sized boats. My last one was 48'x16'x15'. Needed two pilot cars the whole way. Mostly drove the "zipper" at night hogging two lanes--sometimes the rumble strip. But that's not related to my question....
I'm looking for a resource for boat hauling that might give me some insight as to loading different types of boats. I can't find anything out there about how to load, where to put the blocks and straps, sailboats vs power boats, etc. Anyone have a link or some ideas as to how and where to learn this stuff?

maybe you can glean something from the pix here (?) My wife used to haul props and underwater shafting for Sea Ray back in the day; they dealt with these guys often. It's only pix, but.... all i could think of.quatto Thanks this. -
Yep! That's exactly my new job. ThanksG13Tomcat Thanks this.

One thing to keep in mind is that most engine driven boats will have 2/3 of the weight concentrated in the rear. I never have hauled really large boats that weren't on a purpose built trailer but I've been around them all my life.
quatto Thanks this.
