Anything's possible if you run enough alternators. None of the guys running the big stuff with good results were company drivers, they were all owner operators with multiple alternators.
All the company guys I met running big stuff had such a bad voltage drop that it was a total joke how it performed.

I run a high-q screwdriver on a bracket I made that mounts between mirror plate and door. The perch bolt that replaces screwin mirror bracket to me works best. I've been using a 27 in shaft predator 10k.

ive read most of this most. my big question is does anyone know if this kind of setup will work for a pete 579? the mirror brackets look the same, and I have a buddy willing to give me his brackets for the mirrors. but I wasn't sure if it would work or not. I just got a stryker 447HPC2 and would like to put some better wiring into the antenna to clear the sound. ive been getting some feedback both in my new radio and in the cobra 29 LX that I had hooked up in this truck.

Yeap..No worrys..Not much radio traffic so far..Ill keep ya posted..I noticed on the vid i could hear something,was it a fan or wind blowing??
Didnt sound to bad at all for a crappy ant set up..16 mi i think but as i said when we met i thought i picked you up atleast 15 more..

 

I can just imagine how that thing bounces..I watched my 10k with a 27" shaft do its wobbley deal..Im sure thats gonna shorten its life..
Why the duel coil?Tryin to shorten it,why not shorten the shaft??
