Yes it is. Well to a point.
Sleep Apnea is not something that is DOT mandated. If the company you go to requires a specific clinic that does apnea testing then it is a company requirement. If you choose to use the same clinic, then that choice is still yours.
So I will modify the statement. CPAP compliance is 100% company directed OR a personal choice on the person who go to a Dr. that check for it.

No it's NOT!!!! There are no requirements for a med card and apnea. The above requirement are the 'standard' that most Dr.'s use, but as there are no requirements it can really be anything.

you really should give it a shot, i know it seems counter intuitive but our mainstream understanding of food health is based off of years of bad science and lobbyists. its not just another diet fad, obviously everyone has their own specific chemistry and certain foods do better than others, but if you have a lot of weight to loose its definitely something to consider.
this video goes into some of the history of how fat became demonized(it talks about sugar, but our bodies turn carbs into sugar)
this video talks about how effective it is for type 2 diabetics(i know tedx is usually hit or miss, but this one is really good, and eye opening)
and here is a great subreddit with lots of information/people using low car-ketogenic diets to their advantage https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/
originally the ketogenic diet was developed to help treat children with epilepsy(the brain runs/prefers fat) im not a keto scholar or anything, just someone who has seen its value/eating in this way give it a fair shake before writing it off!Last edited: Mar 4, 2017

Good Luck trying to get a card with anything less.

Even your link says it's simply recommended. There is no requirement for CPAP, much less a requirement for specific usage.

It's my personal experience that all your company cares about is that you pass the medical. The DOT doctor is the one that won't issue your medical card until you show him/her your printout. I know this because the first time I went in for my physical without my printout they told me to go get it, bring it in, THEN they would issue my card if my compliance was acceptable. If different companies have different standards, it's news to me.

Once again, good luck getting your card with anything less. Funny thing about those DOT docs if they're on the registry they want to stay there.
