Well lol, sorry but I'm really not. Let's go run out and buy a truck and then come on here hoping someone gives them the answer to "Show me the money"

I have to temporarily retract my recommendation of FedEx Custom Critical, based on phone interactions I've had in the last two days. Their load awarding system is suspect. They are blaming it on 'glitches' in the system. Fortunately all of my calls are recorded, so I can always review them at any time and throw them back in their faces if the try to BS me.

Yes but their freight is extremely slow.

If you are SOLO, and have a tractor, intending on pulling a 53' van.. then STAY AWAY FROM FEDEX CUSTOM CRITICAL. Unless you are already rich and just want to drive for the fun of it. Otherwise it will bankrupt you. Custom Critical is Expedite work. Expedite work is great for sprinter vans and the like, but NOT tractor trailers. If you are a TEAM, it MIGHT work out for you (MIGHT). If you are SOLO, then it WILL NOT do well. Do not doubt me, please. I get no benefit from this, I just want to to help out anyone I can. And here's the thing Fedex Custom Critical won't 'force' you to stay, but like any company they will try to encourage you to give it a try and see if your perspective changes. But if you're reading this, wondering if you should give Fedex CC a try because they said that they were paying $1.50 a mile... Don't do it, it's not at all what it seems.

    Question about Expediting.

Why doesn’t anyone use a class 8 truck with legacy sleeper or the like (105”+) with a pup trailer instead of the straight jobs?

I’ve ran them shorter trailers before and in NYC i had less trouble negotiating turns then the busses did. Just curious is all.
