It's... rough. But not too bad. Just keep to yourself.

For others it's Arkansas. I would not recommend van buren.

You have three problems tonight. First is a storm front coming through about now. In three to 4 hours it's going to get pretty violent. You need to head eastward. Get out of there.

Third problem. Fort Smith, the city was not properly a city until a Hanging Judge took Office there. Even today it's a rough place.

Russellville is a option as is Galloway just east of Little Rock on 40. There is a rest area between you and Conway on yourside of the interstate that one has a truckparking on a hilltop. I don't know if AHD closed it or not.

If at all possible keep moving east on 40 tonight like right now. Where you are is prime tornado country.

Im not far from Little Rock been here almost 20 years now.

Oh one more thing, as you approach conway, stay under that stupid speed limit, you have two sets of S's that will lay you down if you go too fast.

Between Conway and LR, be aware Mayflower etc lies in a valley just east of Conway huge tornadoes form and cross 40 there. Twice already in the last couple of years. Once you get to LR you can take it easy.

What are your options if not Van Buren? Van Buren is not exactly the Las Vegas Strip. Fayetteville is a hot spot for the younger guys.

To be honest Fayetteville is all walmart, JB Hunt and especially Tyson. Soon to be Indian Casino gaming when they open or already open. It's not much up there but 540 is a better ride than the old crooked used to be.

I don't get that impression at all ... Springdale/Bentonville? Yes. But Fayetteville? One hell of a hot college town with lots of sights right downtown, all week long. But again. It's for the younger crowd who like to bar hop and see some of the nation's most beautiful college women. Lots of live music choices. But it's all right downtown.

Me personally, I'd get a room close to that little main drag in Ft. Smith. Looks like they have a variety of restaurants and touristy stuff to do
