I complain about the pay and other things, but this is really the most laid back job if you already know how to run legal.grabberblue12 and Rubicon Thank this.

The above info is absolutely false!

This job has gone to hell you sit all day in traffic for 14 hours. You get a trip over 100 miles you get so excited you wet your pants. You average about 21 bucks a hour for crap trucking and being watched 24/7. Now the truck cameras are coming so gay men in the office can look at you all day while your driving. Plus they can hear everything in the cab so hell what's next ? Cameras at your house so Walmart can check on you when your off work?? Never seen a company go down so fast as this one has. They work so hard and stretch the truth about driving for Walmart. If you've ever had a good driving job this one is crap. If you come from the real crap companies ( swift , big orange ) this might seem good to you.
haz-matguru and foggy Thank this. -
With all that being said, I GUARANTEE you're not going anywhere!!!!

I wasn't good at math in school but I'm smart enough to know I make more than 21 dollars and hour. If that's all you are making stay out of the break room and quit complaining and start riding.Coover, slim6596 and noninetofive Thank this.

I'm averaging a little more than $38/hr so I'm thinking you might be doing something wrong.
-
They're only looking at you. They don't have time for the rest of us.

And, as many have said in the past, there is nothing forcing you to stay. If this is your actual opinion of the job, and you actually work here, then might I suggest sharpening up your resume. That way you can go somewhere that you are happy, and you can keep your negativity out of these threads. Mind you, noone here thinks this is the perfect job, as there is no such thing. But, it isn't nearly as bad as you are making it out to be.Coover, slim6596 and noninetofive Thank this.

It could be that bad where he's at, all depends on the traffic lanes and work levels. I make less than quite a few posters on here just due to the region I'm in. Not as bad as he claims, but he could try transferring after doing some research on DC's that don't just go to big cities with lots of live load backhauls before giving up the job.
This job is really so easy if you don't let the small stuff bother you compared to most trucking companies. I would probably consider quitting if I went back to slipseating since a lot of our senior drivers believe they don't need to keep their trucks clean on the inside.kwk100e Thanks this.
