I've got a little update on the load. They have somebody to haul it and they say they are starting the permit process.
They haven't told me who is hauling it yet but they gave me the ok to go ahead and get it out of the building and ready to load.nate980, not4hire, passingthru69 and 4 others Thank this. -
Found out today that Perkins is doing the move. Met with one of their guys today.
They are going to haul it on a girder type trailer with the load suspended. As soon as their engineer approves a setup, they will start the permit process.
One more thing that's changed is it is now going to Laredo, TX , be taken off of Perkins' trailer, and loaded onto a Mexican trailer. From there the Mexicans will take it to somewhere in Mexico.Ruthless, MJ1657, IH Truck Guy and 8 others Thank this. -
Perkins is or used to be to my knowledge a class heavy haul company
I met one of the owners years ago, and a old friend of mine worked there before going to Barnhart crane
They do things by the book. No short cutssnowman_w900, 1951 ford, johndeere4020 and 6 others Thank this. -
Funny thing is, I'd never heard of them until our meeting. After meeting with them and looking at their website, they seem to be a pretty big operator. They must not do much in this area though, for me not to have heard of them.
snowman_w900, Oxbow, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
They are lowkey so too speak. They used to do alot of plant moves and such
The newer bridge on 280 in Toledo Oh that was replaced years ago, they did all the local big moves from the ports onto the site. They moved some massive hazmat lds from Ca to Ut. In 2011 I believe it was. You see them but you don't if you know what I'm trying to sayLogan76, snowman_w900, 1951 ford and 1 other person Thank this. -
We got it out of the building today and set it in the parking lot, awaiting Perkins. They are still trying to nail down the permits.
