Not sure if that link will work. It takes me to my account. Worst case just Google the item.Imani100 Thanks this. -
Thanks a lot I plan on installing them on my home time I've been debating between that and the deep blue kit for $350
-
I put the cancellers in and now the lights don't work. I'll keep you posted.
-
Do they not fire at all or do they turn on then shut right off?
-
They stopped working completely. Even after I removed the cancellers. I put the regular bulbs back in for now. I'm on a load now but when I get back from this run I'll mess with them some more.
-
Either the cancellers (which are just load resistors) are too strong or the ballast is a canbus ballast and doesn't need resistors as they are built in. Or you plugged the plugs in backwards and overloaded the lcm that way. The cheap hid components do get messed up and many times I've had them come tout me wired wrong which is why I only use morimoto hid or cnlight.
For ####s and giggles..... I did this on mine and it worked so humor me.
The volvo lcm has the ability to "learn" what is considered normal without going to the stealer ship, I cannot guarantee every truck can but my 06 and my 14 could.
Plug in the hid (no canceller) and turn the key to the "on" position and turn on your headlights. You will get a bulb out warning. Now turn the headlights off and go into your menu under diagnostic and lcm and clear the bulb out code by holding the button it tells you too. Turn the key off.
Repeat this step multiple times. Each time when you turn your lights on, the code will come back on but after 10 or so times... it won't.
The only step I cannot remember 100% is if you need to turn the key off after you reset the code or not so if it doesn't work, try shutting off the lights, clear the code and leave the key in the on position and just turn the lights on again.
I did this for my low Beam, high beam and my fogs. Worked each time. A friend called b.s. so I went to his house and did it on his, no code ever again.
5 minutes of your day may be worth a try.LandslideRich Thanks this. -
Hopefully you get them working I'll have mines Wednesday I'll try it without the cancellers and then with them
-
Mine didn't work at first you probably have to check the connection from the truck connector itself blue is positive and white is negative I had mine wrong, only problem I have now is I have a check light "low beam open left circuit"
-
If it says low beam open left circuit will that work too both lights work I just have that check light for that. I also have the cancellors on too though
