Broke Down 69, cnsper and BrokerVeteran1 Thank this. -
Don't forget we also have rateview which alone is around 499 a user
-
@BrokerVeteran1 what kind of flat bed rates are you getting out of Idaho?
-
The fly by night carrier that depends on load boards won't pay for that. And neither will a well established carrier, they simply don't get enough loads off of load boards. What you pay has no bearing on what a carrier pays to access the loads.Last edited: Mar 14, 2017

@BrokerVeteran1
Your customers ship bulk commodity junk loads that are always cheap. I routinely book $3+ loads for my reefer and dry van from the spot market. There's guys on here that know me and see what I do, a couple of them usually get emails of every rate con, I see their's too. We're not booking chump loads from brokers. But I don't really like posting about that stuff here because it doesn't matter. People can and will believe whatever they want.
Funny thing today I had a Prime broker call me at noon today and it would probably blow your mind what he paid on 1 pick 1 drop 275 mIle run of frozen. It's really marginal loading out of TN right now too. My buddies today were laughing about that one because Prime is usually one of the biggest lowballers out here on reefer freight lol.
I emailing that one over to @BoyWander later tonight, not to brag, and not just cherry picked, I'm going to share more with him, but to show what a person can do out here with some practice and patience. To inspire someone to aim high and quit thinking inside that "nobody will pay that" psychology that gets exploited.
Average rates on a load board are just that. An average. There's no glass ceiling on rates out here. Some loads move below the average and some move above it. What I find amusing is the guys that routinely book a bunch of cheap stuff and do it over and over again and get mad because they can't believe anyone else could work a little smarter than they are, call them liars, etc. And they're always asking for contact info or to see rate cons in public social media posts. Lol... you have to learn it to earn it...Crusader66, Grey Bull, BoyWander and 8 others Thank this. -
I pay $149 a month for a premium DAT subscription. I like all of the extra features and think it is well worth the money. With the cheaper $30 and $50 load boards what I always found most frustrating and aggravating were a bunch of stale already covered loads that never got taken down and skewed what I was seeing around me. With DAT Power that's not such a huge problem although the usual suspects still do 25 postings of one load but you can filter their garbage out.Lepton1, cnsper, spyder7723 and 1 other person Thank this.

What's your experience with the load to truck ratios and rate graphs? They accurate or even close?
