who ever said prime is a scam is wrong If he would have had his cdl permit from his home state he would have been starting out on the right foot. Ive been talking to a couple people on another site (pd) who are using prime for their training and they have been nothing but down to earth and answered any questions I ask. They share positives equally with negatives.

The one thing I keep hearing is they will not baby you and hold your hand for you if you dont know something or dont understand something then you need to ask a question. Ive basically been told when I go to prime If i dont ask a question they assume I know what Im doing. If I dont know what Im doing and I dont ask im SOL.

I may not be a driver yet but Ive been told many times, How you act and what your attitude is determines much of what happens to you in the trucking field.

I am glad to know you are doing well as a "TEAM" I personally don't feel one should have to Team up to make a living at this. I was talking to a Fellow Prime-Ate the other day he was upset that Prime announced a new pay increase for new recruits. 12 cents per mile during training. Well that is all fine But Prime isn't paying anything the Trainers/ O/O's are paying it and Prime has offered no restitution to the trainers. Needless! to say the Trainers are getting to eat it and absorb the higher fuel costs. With the latest rise in fuel prices when was the last time you saw a REAL raise in the Fuel Surcharge? they also use it as a way to make the Load Assignment look good they also do that with Unloading Pay. Prime pays for unloading however they Put it in the Load Assignment to make it look good. I call my dispatcher on it every time. He never has anything to say. I wonder why?

Hey.. I've been reading this post as well as a few others about PRIME. I'm considering jumping on a leased truck as a 2nd seat driver. Meaning, I'm not responsible for truck pymt, fuel, etc. The truck would be ran as a TEAM, not just a ride-along.

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this arrangement? I mean from what I understand, I would have no responsibilities other then make miles and make money.

    What do ya'll think?

From the sounds of his snivling.....I doubt he could drive 11....much less 15-19.

Concrete Angel.....Yes, you are right. You would not be responsible for any of the costs. And, depending on what you worked out with your A-Seat....the money is pretty good. I know one pair of drivers that split everything 50/50 after costs. And, they each average $1300 - $1600 a week!

Prime told me I was ready to go and sent me across the country on a bus. So I said goodbye to my wife and kids who were in tears but I had to make more money to keep my family alive in these hard times. So I quit my current job because my recruiter said everything was fine with my background so as long as I study and pass the tests no problem. First day I'm there they said I can't work here because I disclosed I take Ambien to sleep at night. They sent me all the way back across the country on a bus and I have no job. Thanks for the life change you promised Prime.
