Thanks, but I'm not jumping into it just yet. Waiting til wife is out of colleg in the next few months so when I do jump into getting a truck her income can help out when mine doesn't. Right now I'm just trying to get as much info as I can and all that. And again thanks for the offer.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but 65 pages is a lot to go through LOL. I've got plenty of experience (liquid tank, flatbed, end dump, live floor), but it's all been regional (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,). That's probably not gonna cut it with they're 2 yrs OTR experience, huh ?

Depends did you sleep in the truck? If so yes. Most companies that I have talked to ask about otr experience and I tell them no my experience in tractor trailers is local but I have otr straight truck experience and they say we'll we can qualify you with that has to be in a tractor trailer.

Maybe you guys need to look for a smaller company with less strenuous hiring requirements just saying

Oakley is an excellent company. I've been here right at a year with no major complaints. They are well worth a look into.

Best thing to do is call and talk with a recruiter and tell him what you have. They have been really good to deal with so far.

Yes sir. They are 100% honest here. They don't sugar coat anything here. What ever they say you can take it to the bank. Unlike most companies, they will tell you straight not lie to get you to orientation.

Just to be clear I wasn't downing Oakley I've heard nothing but good things. There is a two year otr requirement. For those that don't meet that have to cut there teeth somewhere usually a smaller company is willing to work with guys who don't have recent experience or not enough otr that's all I was saying
