Talked to a few of them now in Denver and Kansas City. 500-620 miles per day. Basically you get in a day cab and drive 250-310 miles one way, swap trailers with another driver and drive back. Same run every single day, Some weeks 2800 miles, other weeks 3200 or something like that.
4 days on, 2 days off, then back on. Home every night. Pay is straight cpm pay at the rate for the type of freight you haul(van?) and length of haul as well as region your run originated in.
Home every night but sounds boring AF. Then again, it's guaranteed miles and home time for a person who cares about that sort of thing. Wish they had open deck shuttle that ran like Dallas to Houston and back lol -
Still doing it. Run from Lancaster to Prescott Arkansas every day to meet a Memphis driver. We used to work 6 on 1 off, but now we are 4 on 2 off. I don't know what they pay the new guys now, but the older guys didn't lose any pay despite losing a day a week.
