Just letting them in on the reality of the situation

Next time don't even say a dam thing.
In fact. Don't you dare show up ready for duty while tired. If you do get rested and show up and they yell at you, take it up with safety, document everything.207nomad Thanks this. -
I am working on 6 hours of sleep over the last two nights. No not working all that time, just could not sleep. My boss is an ### like the one @Rontonio has. I had to work anyway. Knocked outright around 2000 miles in three days.

Im usually a sport about these things but sometimes you have draw the boundaries
....otherwise it's kinda like feeding the bears , they want more &more and you run out of food they still want moreLoneCowboy and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Did you accept the dispatch and drive? If you did, all the snarky comments to the office still don't mean anything.
If you considered yourself too tired to drive and you drove anyway...guess who they'd hang if something went wrong.
You've been around long enough to know how this business works. If you're fatigued, stay home.pattyj Thanks this. -
Yeah, my body clock didn't do want they wanted it to do so they were threatened
....but really they didn't want to hear the fact that by science of the human body they were going to involved if anything bad happened because i let them know ahead of time that there's no possible way i would get enough sleepthejackal Thanks this. -
Im on a day shift so my body clock stays the same M thru F
Truth is i was more ticked off about having a short day, im paid by the hr
And then to think i would be excited about covering a high dollar load for them with no sleep
.....now if they thinking right they probably should've offer some kindve perk in this deal because the produce loads pay pretty good
I realize it's easier to stand on someone else's shoulders but only if they can do it without being involed in the price to pay if things go wrong -
High dollar loads as in a million plus dollars? They get nothing but the best from me. I was fortunate though. The company I was with insisted on running apples to NW atlanta overnight from say Little Rock which is slightly outside of logs but easily handled when you consider the higher average drawn on a empty reefer running bck to thje LR Drop yard. That reefer usually ended up going to Memphis to be loaded which itself is another 265 miles on the actual ground until you actually got loaded AFTER you have demonstrated a 8 hour time off in sleeper and recieved a complete load package of your choice. Usually Detriot or Chicago. You like the boom boom? Or do you like the pop pop as they built these cities.
NavigatorWife Thanks this.
